About Al Berard

Al began playing the guitar at the age of 11. While in high school, he played lead guitar in a rock band called ReFlx with friends, Mark Allemond-bass-vocals, Keith Blanchard-drums and Mike Bijeaux-guitar-vocals. That was in 1980...In 1983, Al formed another group, The Basin Brothers Band, performing country, traditional and original Cajun French music for festivals, clubs, and workshops at numerous locations in the United States and in other countries including Canada, France, and Ireland.... striving to promote and preserve the Cajun culture and music.  Al has a small project recording studio in Cecilia, Louisiana, as well as his own publishing company--OPLAMAE Music,BMAl. He also produces other artists. His present focus is on a electric rock guitar CD and well as a family CD.

"My wife and girls sing and play.... My other works include a variety of styles including contemporary, pop, bluegrass, Cajun and blues".
